My free pastry - just out of reach....

I was so excited to wake up today and go to Starbucks for my FREE PASTRY with any purchase of a beverage (saw the offer on facebook). So my boyfriend AJ and I woke up at the crack of 10 o'clock went to get our free treats. As we wait in line I start dreaming about my venti iced latte and I picked out the perfect pastry, Rasberry Sunshine Muffin (it was the last one left). So I get in line and we order our drinks and the barista says nothing about the free pastry. So I looked at her and asked with my big puppy dog eyes "Don't we get free pastries today?"
She responds: "Not without a coupon."
My heart instantly deflates and we leave sans rasberry muffin :(

Like usual, I got way too excited and totally forgot about being practical.

However, I looked at the nutrition facts for the muffin and now I'm glad i didn't eat it (340 calories). Never again will I trust the label "low fat."

On a healthier note...

After work, I took my friend Kelsey on my jogging route in my neighborhood. It was so much more fun with someone else and I had a great time. I'm so proud of myself for making running an everyday thing for me. It was the hardest thing for me in P.E. class in school and now I'm doing it for fun. I feel like I've come a long way haha! I run/walk about 1.2 at least 4 days a week on average (I try to do it everyday though!).

I'm still working on my weightloss stuff and so far its not a total failure, like the times I've tried to lose before. I don't want to publish any official numbers, but lets just say I'm fitting into my clothes a lot better so far and it makes me happier than I've ever been!

Sooo I'm bad at posting.

So it turns out that I am much more of a fan of reading other people's blogs, then writing posts myself. SURPRISE SURPRISE! Its so much easier. I never would have thought, I'd be so addicted to this website. It definitely gives me something to do when I'm not working, which is unfortunately all the time for the last two weeks. I've only been scheduled for 2 DAYS in the last 2 WEEKS! I'm not sure if this place is over-employed or slow on business; but I'm looking to make A LOT of money this summer. Hopefully things speed up because I love this job!!

On a more interesting note, I'm addicted to stumbleupon.com. For those of you who aren't familiar with the greatest firefox add-on ever, its a website where you click a little button on your browser and it takes you to a page that is recommended for you, based on your interests. I love it, it has shown me so very interesting things, and entertained me forever! So here I'm going to give you guys a few of my favorite stumbleupons. ENJOY :D

Fathers<3

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Unfortunately, I didn't get to spend Father's Day with my father due to my parents long journey back home from an antiquing trip in Walnut, IA. He was still in my thoughts and my heart :). Whether you have a father in your life or not, its really important to remember the men who have influenced your life and have taught you the values that make you who you are. Because of the differences my dad and I have with each other, I often take him for granted. This is a day where I like to tell him how much I really appreciate him. I want to learn to have the patience and strength to always tell him I'm grateful. I read a great article at examiner.com that says we should make everyday Father's Day.

I didn't do anything very productive, I took a nap, went for a run and now I'm here. Exercise was on top of my to-do list today. I haven't had a run in about 4 days due to my new part-time summer job (which I love so far). It turns out that I eat healthier when I exercise everyday, so its SOO important to keep up. I'm currently trying to lose 25 pounds by the end of the summer. I really haven't exercised at all on a constant basis for the past year. The Freshman 15 is an understatement! Anyways, I really want to fit back into my old clothes again!!

So wish me luck!!:D

Pretty Shitty Hello Kitty

As a die-hard Hello Kitty fan, I've seen all the cute products; toasters, ice cream makers, ear muffs, karaoke machines; just about any product you could muster up, there's a 99.9% chance that Sanrio has taken it and kittified it.

So for my first serious blog post, I decided to show you the Top 5 Most Bizzare Hello Kitty Products.

1. Hello Kitty Contacts
A great accessory for a first date if you're trying to give off an adorably creepy vibe.

2. Hello Kitty Dog Muzzle

This dog has never felt defeat like this before.

3. Hello Kitty Cat costume

Each of us can now have our OWN Hello Kitty. Only their not nearly as adorable because they don't dress up in little angel costumes and act as ambassadors to the world. Real cats aren't nearly as cool.

4. Hello Kitty Breathing Masks
To me, it looks like he's wearing children's underwear on his face, but now you look cute and protect yourself for deadly viruses at the same time!

5. Hello Kitty Shotgun

Hello Kitty and guns. Two things hard to use in the same sentence; Untill Now. This will keep the neighbor's cats out of your yard!

Hope you've enjoyed my first serious post!! Seen any other bizzare Hello Kitty products, let me know!! I got a lot of these ideas from Kittyhell.com. Check it out for some disturbing stuff.

So this is my new blog!! HOORAY!

Its official. I am no longer a blog Virgin. I have to say I feel delightfully trendy. And it further proves that I will eventually fall victim to every fad whether I say I won't or not.

Anyway, I didn't plan to start this blog just to be trendy. After somewhat following the blog of a girl I know, I thought that maybe I could do it. And I realized that it could serve me a lot of ways.
First of all, I truly enjoy writing and I have a lot of thoughts that I want to get out of my head and into the universe, and my boyfriend really doesn't want to hear ALL of them. So this can serve as an outlet for thought.

Things I plan to include in this blog:
My weight loss goals/progress
Random thoughts
Cute items I find internet shopping
Stumbleupon.com finds (I AM ADDICTED)
Whatever I find in my brain :)

After searching the internet for HOURS for a decent template IN ENGLISH (what is up with all the templates being in other languages? Anyway know how to convert them?) Its actually pretty late, so I'll wrap this up and continue tomorrow.
